  • 1 package of organic vegan vital biscuits
  • Wooden sticks
  • Icing for the flowers (see recipe below)
  • Piping bag
  • Mini terracotta pots
  • Floral foam or potting soil
  • Ribbons for decoration (optional)

Icing for the flowers:

  • 30g protein (approximately 1 fresh egg or pasteurized egg white)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (5 ml)
  • 150g powdered sugar (or five times the weight of the egg white)
  • Food coloring gel (optional)

Preparation
  1. Prepare the icing: Make the icing according to the instructions below and fill it into a piping bag.
  2. Forming petals: Use the icing to trace the outline of a cookie, allowing it to slightly overlap for petal effects. A stencil can be helpful here.
  3. Assembly: Carefully place the cookie on the icing and secure it with a wooden stick.
  4. Joining: Combine two decorated cookies to form a complete flower and let dry overnight.
  5. Potting: Insert the finished sunflower into the pot and stabilize it with floral foam or potting soil. Optionally, the pot can be painted or decorated with ribbons
